Lovingly nurtured and machine harvested from the family owned Mount
Fishtail vineyard in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. Soil in the vineyard is
of stony silt with loam topsoil and free draining. Canopy Management is
vertical shoot positioning with shoot and crop thinning.
Winemaking:
Stainless steel tank fermented at controlled temperatures between 10 and 13 Deg. C.
Tasting Notes:
A brilliant, pale straw green colour. Fresh, uplifting gooseberry and citrus aromas develop into more exotic guava and mango notes. The palate equally overflows with grapefruit and lush tropical fruits, tangy acidity and just a hint of sweetness to round out the mouth. A classic
Marlborough statement.
Cellaring:
Best enjoyed young with a cellaring potential of 2 to 3 years.
Food
Accompaniments:
Enjoy with New Zealand’s wonderful seafood, especially Kaikoura crayfish and paua grilled, lunchtime, Sundays optional. Equally enjoyable with antipasti and Asian foods.
